Bulldog Challenger 300 Mixed Doubles

This is a 300 level event at the touchtennis flagpole facility at Ferris State University

Below is a general description of all events. Please check to make sure you are registering for the correct event.

Events:

• Men’s Singles
• Men’s Doubles
• Women’s Singles
• Women’s Doubles
• Mixed Doubles

A consolation draw will be created for each event. Participants are guaranteed at least 2 matches in each event entered.

ALL singles matches will be best of 3 sets.

All doubles matches will be best of 3 sets.

All consolation matches will be best of 3 sets unless we have a time crunch. In this case, consolation may be reduced to one set or a tiebreaker.

Seeding

Player seeding will be done by touchtennis global ranking points.  The number of players seeded will be based on the draw size.  In general ¼ of players will be seeded.  For example a 16 player draw will have 4 seeds.  A 32 player draw will have 6 seeds.  A 64 player draw will have 8 seeds.  If there are not enough players with ranking points, the seeding committed may consider:

1. UTR Player Rating
2. USTA Ranking
3. University or High School Ranking

Singles entry fee is $25

Student discount is $15.  Contact Mike Janz for the discount code.

All doubles entry fees are $15 per person. Each player registers separately. A player may select their doubles partner when both players are registered.

Student discount for doubles is $10 per person.  Contact Mike Janz for the discount code.

Registration Deadline

Entries close Thursday, September 11 at midnight.

Prize Money:

Total prize money purse is TO BE DETERMINED.

Schedule of play

Play is scheduled to begin Saturday, September 13 at 9am and will be completed in one day. If needed for inclement weather, the tournament may move indoors.

Minimum Age

Please note the minimum age to compete in any touchtennis tournament is 16 years old.
