2025 US Open Men's Singles

Description:

This is a 2000 slam level event with the most prize money and ranking points ever offered in the USA!

Below is a general description of all events. Please check to make sure you are registering for the correct event.

• Men’s Singles
• Men’s Doubles
• Women’s Singles
• Women’s Doubles
• Mixed Doubles

Double elimination on every event. Participants are guaranteed at least 2 matches in each event entered.

ALL singles matches will be best of 5 sets. That includes women!

All doubles matches will be best of 3 sets.

All consolation matches will be best of 3 sets.or 10 point TB.

Seeding

1/4 of the draw will be seeded. Player seeding will be done by the seeding committee comprised of Steve Davis, President of touchtennis USA, RJ Tessier, Director of the Professional Tennis Management program at Ferris State University, and Dr. Greg Cotton, founder of the touchtennis Premier League. Players are encouraged to contact Dr. Greg Cotton with their seeding information. Seeding will be considered using the following criteria in order of importance:

1. touchtennis Ranking
2. UTR Player Rating
3. USTA Ranking
4. University or High School Ranking

Entry Fees

Singles entry fee is $50. $25 for high school and college students. (See details below)

All doubles entry fees are $25 per person. Each player registers separately. A player may select their doubles partner when both players are registered.

Prize Money:

Total prize money purse UPDATE. We are trying to increase sponsorship.  We will have at least $10,000 total prize money.  The prize money listed represents the $10,000 level.

Venue Information

The beautiful Blue Water Convention Center located on the shores of Lake Huron. This will be an indoor tournament played in the Grand Ballroom of Lake Huron Hall.

Travel Information

Fly into Detroit, MI. Port Huron is 75 miles from the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). Take I94 East to Port Huron. The drive takes about 1 ½ hours. We are working on shuttle transportation to and from the Detroit Airport

The top 2 ranked men and women players will have their rooms complimentary for the tournament.

The hotel only has 89 rooms so all players are encouraged to register early and make hotel reservations as soon as possible!  Use the Reservation Code: touchtennis for the discounted rate.

Social

During touchtennis U.S. Open Week, we are looking forward to giving some free touchtennis lessons to the general public! Open court time all day Wednesday and Thursday!

It is Halloween weekend!  A free racquet will be awarded to the best costume.  A free tube of balls to second place!

Starting on Friday, October 31 food and beverages will be provided to players throughout the event. A full buffet will be provided to all registered players on Saturday night November 1.

Restaurant service is available to all players and spectators during the event.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, October 30 at noon. At this time the draws will be made.

Schedule of play

Play is scheduled to begin Friday, October 31.  This assumes a draw of 32 for men's singles..  Expect to play at least one match on Friday, October 31.  In any case, the semis and finals will be Sunday, November 2.  If there is a travel schedule conflict, we will make best efforts to accommodate late arrivals.  Please note if you can’t be here ready to play on October 31, be prepared to play multiple matches  in order to catch up.

Student Discount

We welcome high school and college students to enter the tournament and offer a $25 registration fee for singles and $15 registration fee for doubles.  Please contact the tournament director Dr. Greg Cotton for the discount code. Greg can be reached at greg@touchtennis.com. Please note the minimum age to compete in any touchtennis tournament is 16 years old.

Refer a friend bonus

If you refer a friend who registers to play we will reimburse you $10 from your registration fee. Please contact Dr. Greg Cotton so he can put your name on the list. If a player refers 4 players who register, we will refund the entire registration fee of that event and the 2^nd event to the player!  We want you to bring friends!

Early registration drawing. The first 25 men and first 25 women will have their names in a hat for a drawing for a free touchtennis home kit.  1 kit will be awarded to the men, and 1 kit awarded to a woman.

In addition, the first 25 players who register for 3 events will be eligible for a drawing to select one of the following: 4 Goat racquets, 2 bags, and 4 tubes of balls. This is a total of 10 prizes for giveaway. Get your entries in early!
